  • Raw sand is fed via a vibrating feeder to a scrubbing machine for intense agitation.
  • This step is critical for inland alluvial deposits, effectively disintegrating clay agglomerations and removing surface impurities, ensuring the full liberation of heavy mineral grains.
  • The HMC slurry is first densified using a hydrocyclone and further dewatered in a high-rate thickener.
  • The thickened HMC is stockpiled under cover, ready for feeding into the dry processing plant.
  • The HMC is uniformly dried in a fuel-fired rotary dryer.
  • Stage 1 – Magnetic Separation:
    • Cross-Belt Magnetic Separator first removes any residual magnetic minerals.
    • Then, a High-Intensity Magnetic Separator (HIMS) is used to separate the strongly magnetic Ilmenite as a final product.
  • Stage 2 – Electrostatic Separation:
    • The non-magnetic fraction (containing Zircon and Rutile) is fed into a High-Tension Roll Separator.
    • This separator exploits conductivity differences, attracting the conductive Rutile to the rotor while the non-conductive Циркон is repelled, achieving a clean separation.
  • Stage 3 – Cleaning & Purification:
    • Both Zircon and Rutile middlings undergo additional passes through magnetic and electrostatic separators to achieve premium-grade concentrates meeting Chinese national standards (YS/T) for industrial applications.
  • The scrubbed pulp is distributed to a bank of Reichert Spiral Separators.
  • Utilizing differences in specific gravity, the spirals efficiently produce a Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC), rejecting the majority of light quartz gangue to tails.
  • A fully enclosed conveyor system and a high-efficiency pulse-jet baghouse dust collector maintain a clean plant environment and comply with Chinese environmental regulations.
  • Tailings from the spiral circuit are transported to a designed impoundment area for managed disposal and site rehabilitation.
  • Process water is clarified in a recycling pond and reused, minimizing freshwater consumption and discharge.
  • Proven & Efficient Flowsheet: Implements the globally accepted “Gravity-Magnetic-Electrostatic” separation route, optimized for Southwest China alluvial placer deposits.
  • High-Quality Products: Produces Zircon concentrate (ZrO₂+HfO₂ >65%), Rutile concentrate (TiO₂ >95%), and Ilmenite concentrate (TiO₂ >50%).
  • EPC Turnkey Solution: Provides clients with a single-point responsibility from design to operational handover, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Emphasis on Environmental Compliance: The plant design strictly adheres to China’s environmental protection policies, featuring comprehensive dust control, water recycling, and responsible tailings management.
  • Adapted to Inland Conditions: The process design effectively handles the higher clay content typical of inland alluvial deposits in Southwest China.
