Ore Preparation & Desliming: Run-of-mine ore is crushed and ground to form a slurry, which is then processed by a hydrocyclone cluster and a high-frequency desliming screen (0.25mm aperture) to remove fine slimes and improve leach efficiency.
Leaching & Adsorption (CIL): The thickened slurry enters an 8-tank CIL circuit (each 450 m³) with dual impellers. Cyanide leaching and carbon adsorption occur simultaneously over 32 hours; fresh activated carbon is added counter-currently to maximize gold loading.
Tailing Disposal & Water Recycling: Tailings are dewatered using a 150 m² recessed chamber filter press. Filter cake (<16% moisture) is transported to a lined storage area; filtrate is detoxified and fully recycled as process water.
Electrowinning & Smelting: Gold is deposited onto stainless steel cathodes in the electrolytic cell. The deposited gold sludge is mixed with fluxes and smelted in a 100 kW electric furnace to produce doré bars of ~91% purity.
Pre-Leach Thickening: The undersize pulp is fed into a Ø28m high-capacity thickener to achieve underflow density of 48–52% solids, reducing volume and reagent consumption in leaching.
Interstage Safety Screening: Each leaching tank is equipped with an interstage safety screen (1.2mm slot) to retain carbon while allowing pulp to flow, preventing carbon loss and equipment abrasion.
Carbon Handling & Elution: Loaded carbon is transferred to an acid-washing column and then desorbed in a high-temperature and pressure elution vessel. The gold-rich solution is pumped to the electrolysis unit.
