Processing Way

  • A hopper with a grizzly feeder removes oversize rocks and debris (>100mm).
  • A wheeled trommel scrubber simultaneously screens and scrubs the clay-bound ore, breaking down lumps and efficiently washing the material.
  • The tailings from the jig machine are pumped to a Centrifugal Concentrator (Knelson / Falcon type) for recovery of fine gold particles with high efficiency and a high upgrade ratio.
  • The concentrate from the centrifugal concentrator is regularly harvested.
  • The high-grade concentrate from the shaking table is dried and mixed with fluxes.
  • It is then smelted in an Electric Gold Smelting Furnace at high temperature to produce gold doré bars with a purity of approximately 90-95%.
  • The plant is powered by a dedicated diesel generator set, ensuring reliable and independent operation in remote areas with limited grid power.
  • The process flow is designed for simplicity, robustness, and ease of operation and maintenance.
  • The screened material (-20mm) is fed into a Jig Machine to recover liberated coarse gold and heavy minerals.
  • The jig concentrate, rich in gold, is collected for further upgrading.
  • The combined concentrates from the Jig and Centrifugal Concentrator are fed onto a Shaking Table.
  • The shaking table provides a clean, high-grade gold concentrate by separating gold from other heavy minerals like magnetite, ilmenite, etc., based on specific gravity differences.
  • A closed-circuit water circulation system is established, utilizing settling ponds to recycle process water, which is crucial for operation in arid regions like Somaliland.
  • The tailings are directed to a designated tailings storage area for environmental management and potential future reprocessing.
