Processing Way

  • Raw ore is fed by a vibrating feeder.
  • A small jaw crusher crushes the ore to below 20mm to provide suitable feed size for the Wet Pan Mill.
  • The slurry discharged from the Wet Pan Mill already contains a primary concentrate.
  • This slurry is then passed over a Gold Carpet / Sluice Box to trap the fine gold particles and further upgrade the concentrate.
  • The tailings from the sluice box are discharged to the tailings pond.
  • A simple settling pond system allows for water recycling, minimizing consumption.
  • The plant is typically powered by a diesel generator, making it ideal for remote sites with no grid power.
  • The crushed ore is mixed with water and continuously fed into the Wet Pan Mill.
  • The Wet Pan Mill performs multiple functions: it grinds the ore to a fine slurry (typically to 1-2mm), simultaneously mixing and homogenizing the pulp.
  • Core Function: The heavy iron rollers grind and squeeze the ore, liberating gold particles. Due to its high density, the gold settles at the bottom and gets concentrated.
  • (Optional) For direct smelting, a small amount of mercury can be added inside the pan to amalgamate free gold during the grinding process (Note: This practice is being phased out due to environmental concerns and is not recommended).
  • The concentrate collected from the bottom of the Wet Pan Mill and from the gold carpet is carefully panned or cleaned using a small Shaking Table to remove residual impurities.
  • The final high-grade concentrate is dried and smelted in a Portable Smelting Furnace to produce gold doré bars.
  • High Cost-Effectiveness: Lower initial investment and operating cost compared to a ball mill system.
  • Simplicity & Durability: Simple structure, easy to operate and maintain, very robust.
  • High Concentration Ratio: Effectively recovers and concentrates free gold in a single step.
  • Suitable for Small-scale Mines: Ideal for low-capacity, seasonal, or remote mining operations.
