Spodumene and lepidolite are very important lithium bearing minerals and they are very easy to recover by the flotation processing. The desliming is necessary for the two kinds of minerals before flotation and after desliming, the lepidolite often adopts the positive flotation to obtain the concentrate. The flotation process generally includes one rougher flotation, one scavenging and two cleaner flotation. The spodumene flotation has the positive flotation and the reverse flotation.

Adopt 3 stage crushing with closed circuit sieving system to make the lithium ore below 12 mm or even blow 10 mm for reducing the power consumption of grinding stage.
One stage Grate type ball mill is sufficient to handle the grinding work because the spodumene and lepidolite are very easy to grind. Ball mill working together with linear scdreen and hydrocyclone cluster to ensure the grinding fineness reach 75 microns with passing rate D70-80.
When lepidolite and spodumene have high grade of the symbiotic tantalum and niobium, gravity separation or strong magnetic separation can be used for recover.
The lithium ore slurry from gravity processing system or ball mill will be pumped to the flotation processing plant. The flotation process always include 1 stage rougher flotation, 2 or 3 stage cleaner flotation and 2 stage scavenging flotation.
The concentrate and tailing slurry will be sent to the thickener for dewatering process and recover the water for recycle usage. The tailing slurry from the thickener can be pumped to the tailing pond directly.
The concentrate slurry from the thickener will be sent to the cearmic disc filter for deeper dewatering process. The press filter or belt filter can also be adopted.
