Hard carbon anode material is the most preferred materials for commercialization of sodium-ion battery. Hard carbon material are all biomass materials that are difficult to graphitize at high temperatures above 2500°C. Common hard carbons include resin carbon, organic polymer (polysaccharide) pyrolytic carbon, and carbon black (anthracite). Hard carbon materials all have high reversible specific capacity, theoretically reaching 350-400mAh/g. The hard carbon structure is stable and the charge and discharge cycle life is long. It is for drying the coconut shell and carbonizing the wood fiber at a certain temperature to facilitate subsequent crushing process. For saving the investment, we recommend to use the push type carbonization furnace for the precarbonization stage.
The jet mill, cyclone, dust collector and induced draft fan form a complete milling system. After the compressed air is filtered and dried, it is sprayed into the milling chamber at high speed through the laval nozzle. At the intersection of multiple high-speed air flows, the material is repeatedly collided, rubbed, sheared and crushed.
The washing anf lotation process is for removing the impurities whch is soluble in water and impurities with low density. And it is a preparation work before the purification process.
The hard carbon for making anode material should be with purity above 99.3%, so the purification is a necessary step for making qualified material. The chemical purification process is the most popular way right now because of its stable performance and lower cost. The main processing step is to using the mix acid wahsing.
The purified hard carbon material should be sent to the coating and high temperature carbonization system. We recommend to adopt the roller kiln for cabonization treatment work. During the high temperature condition (Maximum 1200 degree), it make the coating material and hard carbon material mixing evenly and the coating material formed a shell to wrapping the hard carbon materials.
The silicon based anode material from carbonization furnaces will be sent to the final product handling system which include deagglomeration, mixer, magnetic separation, sieving and packing system.The mixer is for mixing the multi batch final product before packing for ensure the stable property. Dry type high magnetic separator is specialy designed for removing the mechanical iron in ultrafine powder which generated during processing.
